| 2007 Rock River Discapades
& World’s Longest Ace Run (condition permitting, yes we are gonna try it again!!!) The Rock River Disc Club will again host, for the third year running, the Rock River Discapades. This is a Random Draw Doubles event, held on a private course on the Roundhouse Farm in Watertown, WI. Lunch is a Pot Luck, and we ask that everyone bring a dish to pass, with enough food to allow all to have at least a taste! There will be great awards for the top teams, and everyone will walk away with at least something to commemorate the event. The reason for the event is a fundraiser for the RRDC’s basket fund. We need your help (and your donations!) as we are very close to purchasing another 9 or 10 baskets to complete the 9 hole course that we installed in Watertown in May of 2005. The Longest Ace Run will consist of the top portion of a basket (with an ice ramp built to the top edge of the basket) placed on the ice of the frozen Rock River (hence the condition permitting part) with a 900 foot fairway of ice to slide your disc along to attempt the WORLD’S LONGEST ACE RUN!!! We will again have a big bonfire that will come into play (and help warm you up during the round), along with another campfire and maybe even a camper beer stop! SNOWMOBILES ALLOWED!!!!!!! If you have one or access to one, feel free to bring it (if there is enuf snow of course) and you can use it as a golf cart during your round! Courtesy to other players is a must!!! All snowmobiles must be kept on any paths/fairways, no off path sledding allowed. Date: Feb 10th, 2007 Time: 8:00 – 9:15 Registration, 9:30 Player’s Meeting and Partner Draw, 9:50 First Group Tee’s off Pot Luck to follow with awards and fun and games, including the Longest Ace Run!!!!!!! Fee: $30 – includes a player’s package (to be determined, but always well worth it) $5 for unlimited attempts at the Longest Ace. TD Discretion as to when Ace Run will be shutdown. All paying participants will get one throw at a time to attempt this record setting ace run. Last year Innova donated a Discatcher Sport as a trophy for the first person to ace this hole, and we still have it to give away. Format: Random Draw Doubles 1 round, 24-27 holes – yet to be determined If you have a basket or more that we could use, please call Roundhouse and discuss this possibility!
