COOKOUT ON THURSDAY

There will be a disc golf cookout at the Flying Fortress (
www.aadgc.com/flyingfortress) this Thursday, 10-16-03.  Anybody that played at any time during the 2003 Thursday night league in Kaukauna is welcomed.  If you didn't , I don't think you would be turned away.  Come out and grab some food and talk shop with the other discers.  It starts at 5:00 at the Flying Fortress.

AADGC HAS A NEW COMMUNICATION FORUM
Now AADGC members don't have to show up to meetings at specific times.  You can simply check out the discussion and/or join in on the discussion.  Currently, it is not an instant discussion, but if it becomes popular, we can look into that.

PRO - AM DOUBLES BRINGS OUT NEW PLAYERS

The first day of the PRO-AM doubles league at O'hauser brought some new disc golfers to organized disc golf.  It was a beautiful day for disc golf.  Sunday Mornings at 8:45, registration begins for a random doubles match of one round.  Ams get paired with pros randomly (providing there is a balanced number of players).  Points and stats are kept up online and the top 4 from each division will split the Ace Money at the end of November (providing no one gets an ace)

2004 PLANS FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Sponsorship and Win a Basket are the two big additions to next year's league.  We did such a great job with sponsorship for the Wisconsin Fall Open, that I thought we could attempt to do the same with our league play on Wednesday nights.  Sponsors can sponsor a particular league night for either $20 cash or $30 in merchandise.  Any AADGC member that obtains a sponsor will get to play free that night.   Also, courtesy of Flying Fortress Disc Golf Store, each AADGC member will get a chance to win a new Basket.  Each time you play a league night, you'll get an addition chance in the drawing.  Check out the details of Telulah's 2004 Wednesday Night League Plans and Sponsorship Form online.

WISCONSIN FALL OPEN IS A BIG SUCCESS
Thanks goes out to all the people that helped make the Wisconsin Fall Open a success.  Matt Schmidt did an outstanding job as Tournament Director and with sponsorship.  The payout for pro's was well over 200%.  This should rank high in the Disc Golf World News listing of highest percent added cash.  The Current World Champion, Barry Schultz won it and won the basket in the CTP contest.  Thanks to all the sponsors that helped make this event great.
